Pattern Girl

Have been working lately on making a downloadable pattern for my "Emmy Doll" rag doll.  I figured it would take some time ...  but it's taking even more than I thought (Murphy's Law strikes again!)
When (if !) I get finished, there will be 6 sheets of patterns, plus a PDF file of written instructions with LOTS of photos, and an instructional video for YouTube.

Coming to my JoyceAlice2 Etsy shop soon!

(Well, maybe not soon...
Maybe kinda soon...)

Can you quirk your left eyebrow?  I can.  Just my left, not my right.  Odd, that.

Gregory Peck can quirk his left eyebrow, too.  Quite a bit higher than I can quirk mine, actually.

I noticed this (interesting?) fact after watching "Roman Holiday".

I had seen it before but not in quite awhile.  A REALLY good movie!  The DVD cover is in color, but actually the movie itself is in black and white ---- an artistic decision at a time (1953) when color was available.    {Since the entire movie was shot on location in Rome, the director did not want the exotic locale to overwhelm the characters or the story.}

Anyhow, I wonder how common it is for people to be able to quirk an eyebrow?  And is it always the left eyebrow?  And if so, why not the right one?  Perhaps right-handed people can quirk their left eyebrows, and left-handed people can quirk their right ones.

I must make this the subject of my next informal survey.  ha ha.

I wonder if Gregory Peck could also wiggle his ears....   I can wiggle mine.  Can you?

This is a very silly post    :)

Nifty Fifty

Took these photos with my other lens, the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, also known as the "nifty fifty".

And that was my day!

Love My T5i

I've been snapping a few pix with my new camera:

lonely lily -- all the others have bloomed and gone

must have been a Golf Bird around here laying eggs  :)

Lots of rain makes the grass grow TALL

Pro Life "Precious Feet" charms

Here are my "precious feet" charms, which can be worn on a chain as a necklace or pendant:

They are hand-stamped by me onto 3/4" and 7/8" aluminum discs.  The little foot prints are 3/8" long, the same size as those of a pre-birth child at 10 weeks.
They are available at my Seeing Eye shop here:  www.theseeingeye.etsy.com

Giant ? Sunflower

Snapped these shots of my little sunflower plant outside my studio this morning with my new T5i.  It is supposed to be a giant sunflower but since it's less than a foot tall I think the seed packet was mistaken.... But anyway, it's a brave little thing and so cheerful and cute.

New Camera !

Here is my new Canon EOS Rebel T5i  !   Oh, the places we'll go !  Oh, the things we will see !

(after I learn how to use it...)

I'm glad I got the holster for it --- it has a waist strap as well as a shoulder strap, and that helps carry the weight more comfortably, I think.
